What is Local Testing and why should I use it?

Local Testing is the ability to test private or internal servers and local folders on the BrowserStack cloud. Private servers have no public access, and are generally internal or staging servers, or work in progress. Local folders contain HTML, CSS and JavaScript files, and, along with private servers, are accessible only from your machine or local network.

To set up Local Testing, a secure connection is created between your machine and BrowserStack remote machines, and information is passed through this connection. Using this feature, you can test your private or internal servers, and local folders on major operating systems and a wide range of browsers, all of which are available on secure virtual machines. You avoid the expense of setting up and maintaining a comprehensive and exhaustive testing setup. Please refer to the Local Testing documentation for more information.
