Access to Contacts

App Live enables you to access the default Contacts app on remote BrowserStack devices, to test your app.

To enable multiple test scenarios, Browserstack provides a pre-loaded dummy list of contacts on our devices that you can use.

Supported devices

App Live supports access to the Contacts app on the following devices:

• Devices running Android 10 and higher.
• Devices running iOS 13 and higher.

What you can test

With access to the Contacts app on the remote devices, you can now test scenarios, such as:

• Add/Save your custom contacts to the Contacts app.
• Edit/delete a contact.
• Sync contacts with your apps.
• Access contacts from the Contacts app.
• Provide recommendations based on a user’s contacts or ask users to invite friends to their platform.
• Send SMS/email by selecting the recipient from the phone contacts list.
