Change timezone on remote devices
The Settings app on an Android or iOS device enables you to set the timezone on the device. You can choose to set the timezone automatically by giving the Settings app the permission to use the current device location, or manually by entering the name of the country or city with your required timezone.
App Live enables you to set the timezone manually on remote BrowserStack devices, to test your apps for timezone-based scenarios.
Supported devices
Devices running iOS 12 and higher.
All Android devices.
Change timezone
- Log in to the App Live dashboard.
- Upload or install your app, and select your device from the device listing, to launch your test session.
- On the App Live vertical toolbar, click iOS Settings.
- In the Time Zone section on the iOS Settings prompt, set the timezone by using any of the following options:
- In the search bar, click the drop down arrow, and select the city of your choice from the displayed list.
- In the search bar, type the name of the country or city of your choice, and select the city from the displayed list.
After you select the city of your choice, the timezone of the selected city is automatically set on the BrowserStack real device.
On BrowserStack real Android devices, you can change the timezone by launching your App Live test session and following the procedure mentioned in Google documentation.
