Integrate Test Management with Jira
You can integrate Jira with Test Management either from Jira or from the Test Management app.
How to integrate Jira in Test Management
- Open Settings page from left navigation panel in Test Management.
- If you have already integrated Jira connection details will show in Active Integration list.
- To integrate new Jira connection, click Go to Integrations.
- BrowserStack’s central integration page will open.
- On the Integrations page, select Jira Software and click Connect.
- On the Sign-in to Jira prompt, enter your Jira credentials, including your Atlassian hostname (company-name.atlassain.net), Jira email or username, and password or API token.
Enter your API token in the following scenarios:- If your Jira authentication requires two-step verification, you can use either your password or API token for authentication.
- If you use Single Sign-On, you must use the API token instead of the password.
Click Get API Token to generate your API token.
- Click Connect to my Jira account to integrate Jira with Test Management.
How to install BrowserStack Jira App
- Install Browserstack Jira App from Atlassian Marketplace.
- After the app is intalled, open your Jira project.
- Go to Apps → Manage your Apps.
- Click BrowserStack in the left navigation panel under Apps.
- In the API Token put the BrowserStack API key from Settings page in Test Management and click Save Configuration.
- Open any Jira Issue and click on BrowserStack shown in the image below.
- If the Jira issue has been linked in the Test Management product, it will show list of linked Test Cases with this issue.
- Once the App is uninstalled retention period for the storage value in JIRA is 30 days (as per Atlassian policy).
- Developers or admin of the environment doesnt have access to alter this value.
