How do I transfer ownership of my organization account?

Owner can transfer ownership of the organization using the following three methods:
  1. Transfer Ownership to existing members of the organization
  2. Transfer Ownership to an individual who is not part of the organization
  3. Transfer Ownership when current Owner is not available

Transfer Ownership to an existing User


If you are the current owner of the organization, you can transfer the ownership to an existing user:
  1. Login into your Browserstack account.
  2. Post logging into BrowserStack, access the User Management page.
  3. Go to the Manage Users section.
  4. Click on the More actions (...) button next to the user to whom the ownership needs to be transfered. Click Modify access.
  5. Select Owner from the Role dropdown menu and click Save.

Transfer Ownership to an individual who is not part of the organization


If you are the current owner of the organization and want to transfer ownership of the organization to an individual who is not part of the organization:
  1. Login into your Browserstack account.
  2. Post logging into BrowserStack, access the User Management page.
  3. Send Invite to invite the user to join your Organization account.
  4. Once the user accepts the invite, go to the Manage Users section in the Organization page.
  5. Click on the More actions (...) button next to the user to whom the ownership needs to be transfered. Click Modify access.
  6. Select Owner from the Role dropdown menu and click Save.

Transfer Ownership when current owner is not available
