Key objectives of collaboration - Jared Smith, Executive Director, WebAIM
Late last year WebAIM Director Jared Smith sat down with the co-founders of BrowserStack to discuss our shared vision for inclusion and digital accessibility testing. He was impressed with their commitment to accessibility and excited about the ways we might work together. This strategic relationship between WebAIM and BrowserStack signifies a collective effort to enhance and promote digital accessibility

As part of this initiative, BrowserStack has provided a donation to help support WebAIM’s 2024 research initiatives, including WebAIM's screen reader user survey and annual WebAIM Million accessibility analysis of the top 1,000,000 home pages.BrowserStack now supports digital accessibility with its comprehensive accessibility testing solution which spans manual and automation testing on web and mobile platforms, not only providing thorough coverage but also delivering unprecedented speed and efficiency.

About WebAIM

Absolutely. BrowserStack Accessibility Testing allows you to manually test website usability using native screen readers on real devices like VoiceOver on Mac, NVDA on Windows, and TalkBack on Android.

Users can choose to target either WCAG 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2. Additionally, across both WCAG versions, we support identifying guideline violations related to Levels A, AA, and AAA.

The BrowserStack Accessibility Testing extension is currently supported on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

It covers all three issue detection methods: automatic scanning for static issues (Workflow Analyzer), semi-automatic scanning for advanced issues (Assisted Tests), and manual testing for usability issues (Screen readers).
