Authentication
Authenticate Project Management REST API requests using your BrowserStack username and access key.
Authentication
# HTTP basic authentication syntax using cURL
curl -u "YOUR_USERNAME:YOUR_ACCESS_KEY" \
-X GET "https://api.browserstack.com/v1/projects"
The Project Management REST API uses HTTP basic authentication.
Pass your BrowserStack username and access key in each request. BrowserStack uses these credentials to identify the account that makes the request and to check its role’s permissions.
You can view your username and access key in the Settings section of your account.
Service accounts authenticate the same way, with their own username and access key. BrowserStack checks their requests against the service account’s role. For more information, see Service accounts.
If the credentials are missing or invalid, the API returns 401 AUTHORIZATION_FAILED.
