Geo Region Restriction (GRR) for Accessibility Testing

Learn about BrowserStack’s Geo Region Restriction (GRR) for Accessibility Testing, including supported regions, limitations, and setup requirements.

Geo Region Restriction (GRR) lets you control where your Accessibility Testing data is stored. If enabled, your test data will reside in a specific geographic region, ensuring compliance with data residency regulations and your organization’s internal policies.

For more information, refer to the Geo Region Restriction (GRR) document.

The GRR feature is available exclusively on our Enterprise plan. To get this feature enabled, contact BrowserStack support. You can learn more on our pricing page.

GRR supported regions

BrowserStack Accessibility Testing supports GRR in the following regions:

  • United States
  • Europe
  • India

Data covered by GRR

GRR covers the majority of your core test data within BrowserStack Accessibility Testing, ensuring it remains within your chosen region and is not accessible from other regions.

This includes all data at rest, such as:

  • Report Data
Details of your accessibility tests, including accessibility violations.
  • User Data
Who owns the tests, who created them, and who has access.
  • Project and Team Data
Information about your projects, team members, and how tests are organized.

Data not covered by GRR

The following data types are not currently included in GRR restrictions:

  • Transitional Data
Logs, events, and other transient data that may leave the specified region during processing.
  • Usage Analytics
Aggregated, anonymized data about product usage patterns.
  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
Usernames and email addresses used for authentication. This data is kept separate for security purposes and is not shared.
  • Payment and Billing Data
Financial information related to your account.
  • AI Features and Third-Party Integrations
Data related to AI-powered features and third-party integrations may be subject to their own data handling policies.

Setup requirements

There is no additional setup required to enable GRR for enterprise customers. If you have any questions or need assistance for your organization, please contact your BrowserStack account manager or reach out to contact BrowserStack support.
