Video recording
Access video recordings of your Salesforce Test Automation test executions for debugging and analysis.
Video recordings capture the entire test execution process, allowing you to visually review what happened during each test run. This is especially useful for debugging failures and understanding test behavior.
View test video recordings
To view test video recordings:
- Navigate to Builds in the Salesforce Test Automation dashboard.
- Select a build from the list.
- Click on a specific test run to view its details.
- Click Play Video icon to watch the recording.
Video recordings display the following:
- All user interactions, such as form inputs, button clicks, and navigation
- Application state changes, including error messages and pop-ups
- Real-time execution of each test step
- Playback controls, including play, pause, timeline scrubber, and speed adjustment (1x)
- Fullscreen and download options
- Current and total video duration (for example, 00:00 / 04:26)
Use video recordings for debugging
Video recordings help you:
- Identify the exact point of failure: See exactly where and why a test failed
- Verify test behavior: Confirm that tests are performing actions correctly
- Understand timing issues: Identify if elements loaded too slowly or if waits were insufficient
- Review UI state: Check if the application was in the expected state during test execution
- Share with team members: Easily communicate issues by sharing video links
