Test dependent apps
App Live enables you to upload or install multiple apps on BrowserStack real devices during the same test session, switch between different versions of your app without leaving the test session, and test update scenarios for your latest app version.
Upload/install multiple apps in the same test session
- Log in to the App Live dashboard.
- Upload or install your app, and select the device from the device listing, to launch your test session.
- On the App Live vertical toolbar, click Install New App.
- Upload your app, or install an app via Play Store.
Note:
To test update scenarios for your app installed via Play Store, install a higher version of the app during the same test session to trigger an app update. Ensure that the higher version of the app is signed with the same certificate as the current version.
- Log in to the App Live dashboard.
- Upload or install your app, and select the device from the device listing, to launch your test session.
- On the App Live vertical toolbar, click Install New App.
- Upload your app, or install an app via the App Store or TestFlight.
Note:
To test update scenarios for your app installed via App Store, install a higher version of the app from TestFlight during the same test session, to trigger an app update.
