Upload apps for testing
Learn how to upload apps for testing on BrowserStack real devices using App Live.
On BrowserStack App Live, you can upload apps from your system or from a public URL, for testing on real Android and iOS devices.

Upload files to BrowserStack real devices
- Log in to the App Live dashboard.
- On the Select Source panel, click Uploaded Apps > Upload.
- From your system, select the file that you want to upload, and click Open. Your app is ready for testing.
- Select your device from the device listing to launch your test session.
- If you select a device that’s incompatible with your app (for example, incorrect OS version or device type), you’ll see a device selection prompt during your session. Select a compatible device from the list to continue testing.
- Log in to the App Live dashboard.
- On the Select Source panel, click Uploaded Apps > URL.
- Enter the app URL and press
Enter. Your app is ready for testing.
- Select your device from the device listing to launch your test session.
- If you select a device that’s incompatible with your app (for example, incorrect OS version or device type), you’ll see a device selection prompt during your session. Select a compatible device from the list to continue testing.
Post-upload behavior
- After you upload your app, you may see Analyzing app information… below the app name while BrowserStack processes your app. However, you can start your test session immediately without waiting for this to complete.
- Some app configurations, such as Enterprise Entitlements, may be temporarily unavailable until BrowserStack finishes processing your app. You can hover over a configuration to check its status.
