Desktop app v3.48.4 release notes
Release notes for BrowserStackβs Low Code Automation desktop app v3.48.4.
Date: July 15, 2026
This version includes the following features, improvements, bug fixes, and security enhancements:
Features
- You can now use secrets and variables in your AI-assisted steps. Reference them directly in an AI-assisted stepβs instructions and the values are injected securely at execution time.
- You can now automate Time-based one-time passcodes (TOTP)-based two-factor logins. Record a TOTP field once and Low Code Automation generates a fresh code at every replay. For more information, refer to the TOTP authenticator page.
Improvements
- Self-healing is now enabled on Safari and Firefox, bringing automatic recovery from element changes to all major browsers.
- Tests on browser sessions that stop responding now fail fast with a clear
tab crashedstatus instead of hanging and reporting a genericBrowser Connection losterror. - Custom JavaScript actions on Safari are now more reliable. Scripts that trigger fast or cross-origin navigations are recovered correctly, and script timeouts are attributed accurately.
Bug and security fixes
- Salesforce Test Automation:
- Validation and extraction now work on object-creation screens.
- The Launch Salesforce Org step no longer opens two tabs on re-run.
- Visual validation screenshots capture Salesforce components correctly.
- Fixed the recorder capturing duplicate steps for a single click.
- Fixed runs being marked as failed with zero failed steps when a transient error occurred inside a loop.
- Improved memory handling on very heavy pages, preventing replay crashes.
- Security improvements and vulnerability fixes.
