Test case generator agent - FAQs
Find answers to frequently asked questions about generating test cases with AI in BrowserStack Test Management.
The following are common questions about the test case generator agent. Use this guide to find answers about scoping your generation, how the output is ordered, attachment limits, and what you can change between iterations.
Is there a UI control to generate test cases for only a part of my requirement document?
No. You cannot highlight or select a section in the document and ask the agent to cover only that section. To scope the generation, mention the section or line in your prompt instead. For example, prompt Generate test cases only for the Payments section of the attached document. The agent then generates test cases for that part of the requirement only.
Do the generated test cases follow the order of my requirement document?
When you provide a single requirement document, the generated test cases follow the sequence of its sections, so you can review them against the source in order. When you provide multiple documents, the output cannot follow the order of any one document.
How many Figma links and frames can I attach?
You can attach any number of Figma links in a generation. However, the total count of selected frames per generation cannot exceed 50.
Which settings can I change after the first generation?
You can change the Type and Priority values between iterations from the Settings icon in the Refine and Add Test Cases field. You cannot change the template or language after the first generation. See refine your test cases with iterative prompting.
Do AI-generated test cases use my project's default State?
Yes. Every test case that you add uses the default State value configured for test cases in your project. This applies to all templates, including BDD and custom templates.
