Import test data with Quick Import
Use Quick Import to bring your projects and test cases from Xray, Zephyr, or Zephyr Essential into BrowserStack Test Management for Jira.
Quick Import helps you move to Test Management without rebuilding your work by hand. It copies your existing projects and test cases from your current tool, so your team can start testing in Jira right away.
Supported tools
Quick Import connects to the following tools. Select a tool to see its exact fields and steps:
What Quick Import imports
Quick Import copies the projects you select and the test cases inside them. The import log also reports any associated test runs and test plans.
Attachment support depends on your source tool. Zephyr and Zephyr Essential cannot migrate attachments through their API, so those files stay in the source tool.
How test case IDs are handled
During import, you choose whether to keep the test case IDs from your source tool:
- Keep your IDs: select Retain Test Case IDs. An import can fail when two test cases share the same ID.
- Replace your IDs: leave the option clear. Test Management assigns new IDs and saves each original ID in a separate field.
Scan for duplicate test cases
If your plan includes AI Deduplication, you can scan imported projects for duplicate test cases. Turn on Scan for Duplicates next to a project before you start the import. The scan runs in the background, and duplicate counts appear on your Projects page when it finishes.

Prerequisites
Before you import, make sure you have:
