Link Trello cards to test runs
Link a Trello card to a test run as a requirement, or attach one to a test result as a defect, to track both in one place.
Link a Trello card to a test run when the card represents a requirement, such as a user story or a feature. When a test fails, attach a card to that result as a defect and file the bug without leaving Test Management.
Prerequisites
You must first integrate with Trello.
Add a requirement to a test run
You can add a requirement to a test run by creating a new Trello card or linking an existing one.
- Open the test run you want to link. You can create a test run or edit an existing one.
-
In the test run form, select Trello from the Requirements field dropdown.

- Under the Requirements field, select the click here link. The Trello dialog opens.
-
Select your Trello Board. Choose Create issue or Update existing issue, then fill the fields. For the full field list, see Link a Trello card to a test case.

- Click Create or Update.
Test Management saves the card to your Trello board. The Requirements section of the test run shows the linked card.
Link test results to Trello cards as defects
When a test fails, file the bug as a Trello card on the matching result. Select your test cases first. Then add the result with the card attached as a defect.
- Open a test run that contains test cases.
- Select the checkboxes next to the test cases you want to add results to.
-
Click Add Result.

- In the Add Result dialog, set the Status.
-
In the Defects field, select Trello from the dropdown.

- Under the Defects field, select the click here link. The Trello dialog opens.
-
Select a Board, create or update a card, then click Create or Update. The card links as a defect.

- Click Add Result to save the result with the linked defect.
The test result is now linked to the Trello card as a defect.
