Geo Region Restriction (GRR) for Low Code Automation
Learn how Geo Region Restriction (GRR) for Low Code Automation ensures compliance with data residency laws.
Geo Region Restriction (GRR) lets you control where your Low Code Automation data is stored. If enabled, your test data will reside in a specific geographic region, ensuring compliance with data residency regulations and your organization’s internal policies.

The GRR feature is available exclusively on our Enterprise plan. To get this feature enabled, contact BrowserStack support. You can learn more on our pricing page.
GRR supported region
Currently, BrowserStack Low Code Automation supports GRR for the following region:
- Europe (EU)
Data covered by GRR
GRR for Low Code Automation keeps your core test data within your selected region and blocks access from other regions. The following data is covered:
- Test recording data, including test metadata, datasets, variables, global variables, modules, and secrets
- Test execution data
- Project and team data
- Attachments
- Data validation
- Data redirection
- The device (desktop or mobile) allocated for testing is restricted to the Data Center of the restricted region.
Data not covered by GRR
The following data types are not currently included in GRR restrictions for Low Code Automation:
- Third party integrations: Data related to AI-powered features and third-party integrations may be subject to their own data handling policies.
- Payment and billing data: Financial information related to your account.
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Usernames and email addresses used for authentication. This data is kept separate for security purposes and is not shared.
Feature limitations
When GRR is enabled for Low Code Automation, these features are unavailable:
- Visual validation
- AI features
- IP Geolocation
Test setup requirements
To use Geo Region Restriction (GRR) with Low Code Automation, you do not need to perform any additional setup. GRR is automatically applied when enabled.
To integrate CI/CD with Low Code Automation when Geo Region Restriction (GRR) Europe is enabled, send your API requests to lcnc-api-eu.browserstack.com
