Integrate third-party tools with Test Companion

Connect Test Companion to the documentation, design, project management, test management, and CI/CD tools you already use.

Test Companion connects to five categories of tool. When you connect your project management and test management tools, your quality assurance data stays in one place. Set up only the tools you need.

Prerequisites

Before configuring specific integrations, ensure you have the following:

• Permissions to enable third-party tools via the Integrations page. If you lack access, contact your administrator to complete the integration.

Link your documentation tools directly to development workflows. These integrations enable syncing of requirements and defects.

Link your design tools directly to development workflows. These integrations let Test Companion read your product designs and generate UI/UX test cases and automation scripts from them.

Connect your test management tools to Test Companion’s automation environment. This integration allows you to fetch test cases directly from your test management tool to drive your test automation.

CI/CD tools

Connect your CI/CD tools to analyze pipeline failures without leaving your IDE. Paste the URL of a failed CI run into the chat. Test Companion reads the CI logs and explains why the test failed.

Two ways to connect a tool

The integrations on this page work by pasting a link into chat. A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server instead gives Test Companion tools it can call in that product during any task. You approve each call. The following tools are available as MCP servers:

• Confluence
• Azure DevOps
• Linear
• Zephyr Scale
• Sentry
• Datadog
• Slack

Which route you can use depends on your IDE:

In Visual Studio Code, the Test Cases panel uses the Azure DevOps or Zephyr Scale MCP server once connected. Otherwise it uses the integration. Support for MCP servers in other IDEs is in progress. For setup and the list of servers, see MCP servers in Test Companion.
