Selections are based on a combination of nominations and internal research by a dedicated team. We evaluate candidates against our core criteria: their tangible impact on the community, their thought leadership and innovation, and their professional influence.
While the goal of our nomination process is to celebrate others in the community, we do accept self-nominations too.
You are welcome to nominate as many individuals as you believe are deserving of the honour.
Absolutely not. Selection is based purely on an individual’s contributions and impact on the software testing industry.
No. “Icons of Quality” is a prestigious, honorary title. There is no monetary compensation involved, and there is no cost to be featured.
We designed the process to be highly respectful of your time. The process is a single, brief interview conducted over email at your convenience.
The title is awarded annually to a new cohort each year. Once you are recognised as an Icon, you become a member of our “Icons of Quality” alumni and will be forever featured in the Hall of Fame for your award year.
We promote your feature article across our social channels. As an Icon, you also gain priority access to opportunities like speaking at or hosting BrowserStack events and webinars, further amplifying your voice in the community.
The new cohort of Icons is announced annually in celebration of Software Testers’ Day, which is on September 9th. We typically share features and stories throughout the month of September.
While we are always looking for talented individuals, the “Icons of Quality” program is completely separate from our hiring process.
