Integration with source management tools

Learn how Test Observability offers deep integration with source code management tools

What does the integration offer?

BrowserStack Test Observability offers the ability for you to dive into a commit on which a build was run. Not only that, it also offers you the ability to dive into each file of a test suite of which a test case is a part.

An example is shown below:

Supported source code control tools

Currently, Test Observability natively supports only git based source management tools:

  • GitHub
  • GitLab

How does the integration work?

BrowserStack SDKs capture the git related information from the file system if it exists. Based on that, it prepares the URL and creates the hyperlinks on the dashboard.

Also, the tool only creates URLs based on the information it gathers and it does not have access to your source control tools. So, only you in your browser would be able to open any private repository URL that you might have and BrowserStack would not have access to it.
