If the Low Code Automation desktop app is slow on your machine, it could be possible that the Antivirus running on your machine is causing high CPU usage. To validate, follow the below steps:
1. Open Activity Monitor (on Mac) or Task Manager (on Windows).
2. Close most other CPU-intensive applications running on your system.
3. Launch the BrowserStack Low Code Automation app.
4. Observe whether your system’s antivirus process starts consuming high CPU during normal usage or while recording a test.
5. Close the LCA app and wait about 5 seconds, then check whether the antivirus CPU usage decreases.
6. Repeat steps 3–5 once more to verify whether opening Low Code Automation consistently causes a spike in antivirus CPU usage.
If the same pattern repeats, it likely indicates that the antivirus is contributing to high CPU usage when Low Code Automation is running.
Please contact your IT/Support team to add Low Code Automation to the antivirus exclusion list and check if CPU performance improves. If the issue continues, reach out to the Support team for further assistance.
