A ‘rooted’ device is an Android device on which a user has root access, which is similar to having administrative access on computers. Similarly, a ‘jailbroken’ device is an iOS device on which restrictions imposed by the iOS operating system have been removed. As a result, you can install applications that Apple does not support.
