Test your apps on SIM-enabled BrowserStack real devices

Important: You can upgrade to SIM-enabled BrowserStack real devices on App Live by reaching out to us at BrowserStack Support.

App Live provides access to Subscriber Identification Module (SIM)-enabled BrowserStack real devices, to test your apps for use cases such as conducting interrupt testing with incoming SMS messages, testing incoming and outgoing SMS messages, etc.

Launch test session on SIM-enabled device

Important: You can test only SMS messaging on SIM-enabled devices. App Live does not support making/receiving phone calls and mobile data access on BrowserStack real devices.
  1. Log in to the App Live dashboard.
  2. Upload or install your app.
  3. On the device listing, click the With SIM tab.
    The device listing displays the list of SIM-enabled devices, with device names, OS versions, phone numbers, and network service providers. SIM-enabled devices listing
  4. Select the device to launch your test session.

During your test session, you can view the device SIM information by clicking Device Information on the App Live vertical toolbar.

Note: During your test session, you can switch to a device that is not SIM-enabled. Click Switch Device on the horizontal toolbar, and on the App Live dashboard, click the No SIM tab in the device listing, to select your device.
